Dear Heritage Elementary Families,

We wrapped up the 2024–2025 school year with a short week and a strong finish! It was a beautiful blend of diligence and joy as students completed final exams in the upper elementary grades and joined in campus-wide celebrations that marked the end of another successful academic year. From field days to pancake breakfasts, our final days together reflected the balance of working hard and playing well—a hallmark of classical education’s emphasis on both discipline and delight in learning.

Two memorable events on Thursday highlighted the journey from the beginning to the end of a student’s time at Heritage Elementary. In the morning, we welcomed nearly 400 parents, friends, and family members to our Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony, where our youngest scholars reflected on a year filled with growth, discovery, and virtue. Together, they sang “My Country ’Tis of Thee” and recited the virtues they studied throughout the year, reminding us all that character is built day by day, habit by habit. Watching them cross the stage was a joyful affirmation of the formative power of early classical learning.

Later that day, we brought the year to a heartfelt close with our beloved 6th Grade Clap-Out. The turf field came alive with cheers, balloons, signs, and heartfelt goodbyes as students, teachers, and families celebrated our oldest students’ transition to Heritage Junior High School. It was a moving tribute to a group of students who have grown not only in knowledge but in character, leadership, and virtue.

Throughout this year, we’ve remained rooted in our mission: to develop both the minds and hearts of our students. Whether through the study of timeless texts, daily practice of virtues like integrity, patience, loyalty, and cooperation, or participation in school traditions, our students have been shaped in ways that will extend far beyond the classroom. They leave this year more capable, more confident, and more prepared to flourish.

On behalf of the entire team at Heritage Elementary School, thank you for your partnership, your encouragement, and your unwavering support. Together, we’ve built something meaningful.

Congratulations on a successful year. We wish you a safe, joyful, and restorative summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back in August!

Yours in learning,
Marc Gilbertson
